| Merambong |
 |

On 15 November 2008, we were expecting a large crowd to meet us at the Pendas Jetty for the trip to Merambong and the sea grass meadow. ET Lee in his bright red T-shirt that will chase any bird away gingerly walk towards the jetty at 4.30 pm. Then Dr. Francis Ho came with his son, Joaquim. Later Dr. Ismid came with his team of 5. We rent two boats to get to the islands. Dr. Ismid will set up his water test station while the rest will visit the Merambong to discover what they have there. We left the jetty at 5.00 pm |

It was a nice evening to check the Merambong. We saw lots of marine life in the shallow water. We even climb up to view the graveyard on top of a small hill. They were a plot of grave yard in that area. Someone has just changed the yellow cloth as it looks brand new. We suspected that the place is visited by punters who seek to obtain 4D numbers through mysterious means as there were few plates on the ground. |

PAS, Johor and Malaysia flags were raised on the island. It must have hit the Malaysian hard when the Pulau Batu Puteh sovereignty went to the Singaporean. Well! Better lay claim now.

We took this opportunity to stop at the sea grass meadow to experience first hand the long strands of grass. There were still other visitors trying to do last minute work before the sun disappears at the horizon. In the twilight of the day we saw a sea slug and decided to leave the place when it gets very dark. We return to the jetty and quickly wash up for our meal.

Our hungry stomach called for a simple meal that we enjoy. Dr. Ho talk about his hospital experience and give sound advice on what best if a relative is strike with cancer. On whether to undergo chemotherapy or surgery ? Surgery may cost RM6,000 but the chemo would cost RM200,000. Whatever is the decision, do not regret.
